new look for new look?

I'm not sure if many of you have heard of it, but I think im just destined to always having an undivided opinion on major high street chain New Look. When i was a wee 12-13 year old, New Look gave me affordable highlighter-toned jumpers and t-shirts and Hello-Kitty print T-shirts and bags. It was during my era of chav-iness that i would rather just forget and bury somewhere deep at the bottom of the ocean. Situated in the local chav-land of the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire, Stevenage, it has fallen deeper and deeper into my 'no-go' pile of shopping destinations, and well, i'm almost too scared to walk underneath the lurid 'New Look' banner!

But now, look at the new spring collection! The low-market prices have stayed indifferent, and yet the upper-market-mango-meets-topshop-esque look has been ignited. Is this the start of a new look New Look?

I would love the grey and black jumper as a dress, and the actual dress itself.
I'm impressed! They've pulled back a bit it seems. I always go in there thinking I must be able to find something I like, but it never seems to happen

lol your description of the 'former' new look was so unappealing it was difficult to see any sort of relation the pictures had with those words.

Also, I just read your post on the letter that you wrote to Vogue. We are so similar its crazy!
I too began my infactuation of being a fashion journalist at the age of 12...after watching 13 going on 30! haha. And I also find The Hills so inspiring for clothes. I mean, you gotta love it. lol.
And magazine inspiration? Don't get me started. ;)

ohh, don't we all have a phase or two that we'd rather bury? or in my case, set on fire, tie to something very heavy, and then drop into the sea.
i haven't been shopping for quite a while, but i was thinking that i'd better go to New Look as well. the wolf top is pretty good. x
