fashion at war

Im currently writing my history essay, and was inspired by this Vogue Italia shoot by Steven Meisel. Remember a couple of posts ago i wrote about how i like an editorial to be intresting? These fit the bill to absolute perfection; i adore any aspect of fashion that relates to politics or history.

Wish me luck, i can see myself staying up till the early hours of tomorrow debating the reasons for Hitler bombing cities of England. The sacrifices i make for schoolwork...

aw, thank you very much honey!
I love you and your blog tooo :D

ah, I remember in year 9 when our horrid history teacher used to make us write pointless essay after pointless essay...it killed me haha.
to make it worse, i was rreaaaalllllyyy bad at it, so he always used to give me a sad face when he was marking it (he marked them with either a sad face, a straight face or a smiley face)!! so frustrating!!! (actually, I think the whole smiley face I ever got was when we had to do a piece on fashion in the war! which was reaaallly fun haha).

anyway, good luck with it honey!
these photos are indeed veryy inspirational and amazing! <3

(sorry this comment has been full of useless info about my old history teacher hahahahaha)

Great photos! Where they from the "war" issue of Vogue Italia? At least I think the bottom two are. Great blog! And I hate history, I have to do a Civil War report... at least 7 pages of boring.

For some reason I didn't know you were on Lookbook until just recently! I must be out of the loop! I wish I was on LB, I always want to comment and hype people and then I remember that I'm not cool enough.. haha!

I love these photos. So visceral.

Good luck, I used to love history until I ended up doing ww1 and ww2 for about 5 years. I like variety in history, I think if I had done more intresting topics during school I would have gone on to do it at university. I am fascinated by ancient egypt, have been since a ickle child.
Good luck with the paper and I hope you finish it.
